Fine Rugs

When you want your fine area and oriental rugs cleaned, it’s important to work with someone you can trust. After all, whether they are heirlooms or new investments, your oriental rugs should be handled with the utmost care.

Here is what you can expect when you select Pinnacle to care for your fine area and oriental rugs:

1. Pre-inspection. We will carefully inspect your rug prior to cleaning in order to determine what cleaning method to use. We use professional cleaning agents to prevent or control potential problems such as dye bleeding or browning.

2. Dusting. Approximately 79% of soiling in rugs is dry particulate matter that can be removed before the rug is cleaned. Even after a rug has been well-vacuumed, it can still hold a dustpan full of dry soil. We also offer rug dusting as a stand-alone maintenance service for your rugs that may not need a complete cleaning.

3. Cleaning. The method we use (wet or dry) will be determined by the results of our pre-inspection, with special attention given to cleaning the fringe. For those with concerns over pet stains and/or odors, we have been very successful in removing or neutralizing these problems in woven and tufted rugs.

4. Finishing & Drying. Your rug will be groomed to ensure the pile lays in the proper direction and the fibers are soft and lustrous. Once cleaned, we will re-inspect your rug for spots that may not have been fully removed and we will re-clean if necessary. A protective finish can also be applied, which we highly recommended for wool rugs. Your rugs will then be speed dried on drying racks using forced air in our climate-controlled facility.

5. Delivery. Your rugs can be delivered to your home or office at no extra charge, but we do offer a discount if you deliver and pick-up your rugs yourself. In order to conserve the use of natural resources, we normally do not wrap rugs for delivery. However, we will wrap your rugs upon request (i.e. for moving or storage) at no extra charge.

Upholstery

Whether your upholstery is safe for “wet” cleaning, or is “dry clean only,” we have the equipment, training and procedures to ensure your furniture is safely cleaned. We are proud to be referred by several Rochester-area interior designers and retailers – a product of a 30 year tradition of serving your neighbors and friends.

We will care for your upholstered furniture in the same way we care for your carpets – as if they were our own. It’s not enough to simply use the proper treatments for specific materials, or to simply give your furniture a once-over.

With Pinnacle, you can expect the best care and service no matter what you hire us for.

After careful pre-inspection and a thorough examination of what your needs and expectations are, we will determine the best method of cleaning for your particular upholstered pieces. We will then pre-treat any stains and, depending on the cleaning method chosen, (wet or dry cleaning) we will apply our best techniques in order to eliminate “problem areas” as best we can.

Once cleaning is complete, we will re-inspect your upholstered pieces to ensure we have achieved the best possible outcome.

As always, we promise a “red carpet” service experience!

Tile & Grout

Taking proper care of tile and grout can be a chore. But it doesn’t have to be.
Forget spending hours on your hands and knees with a toothbrush and harmful chemicals. Let Pinnacle do the job!

Using the safest products for your family and pets, we will carefully and properly clean your ceramic tile and grout quickly and efficiently.

Stubborn stains, bacteria, and germs will be eliminated, leaving your tile and grout looking better than new. We also recommend sealing to ensure your floor not only looks great, but stays that way. If you have any tiles that may be chipped, cracked, or broken, we can help with those repairs as well.

No matter what your tile and grout needs may be, Pinnacle has the solution.

Cleaning Process:

1. Pre-Inspection – Our team of experts will first inspect your floor to determine your specific needs as well as the right course of action to take.

2. Area Preparation – We will ensure all furniture is carefully moved and any surrounding surfaces are protected.

3. Dry Soil Removal – We will sweep and vacuum the entire area to remove any dry soil that is present.

4. Soil Suspension and Cleaning – Using only the best products on the market, we will pre-treat the entire surface of your tile. Grout lines will be brushed by hand, and mechanical rotating brushes may be required for heavier soiling.

5. Rinsing – Your entire floor is then clear water rinsed using a state-ofthe art, self-contained pressure cleaning system.

6. Neutralizing – Depending on the products used, we may use a neutralizer to restore the proper pH balance of your grout.

7. Sealing/Finishing – Depending on the surface being cleaned, we will select an appropriate sealer and application

8. Color Sealing – If you desire, you can even change the color of your grout! Color sealing is a very popular premium service that we offer. Perhaps you would like your off-white grout changed to a darker, easier to maintain color? Contact us for additional details on this valuable service.

9. Post-inspection – Our team will initiate a walk through before leaving, and of course, to ensure you are satisfied with the results.

Natural Stone

Most natural stone is sensitive material. It is often very porous, easily scratched and can be very sensitive to acids, foods and chelating agents found in many household cleaners. Because of these sensitivities, natural stone requires great care, yet often is overlooked.

That is where Pinnacle comes in. Our eco-friendly cleaning process and solutions will eliminate most stains and etch marks, leaving your natural stone to look as good the day it was first installed.

Pinnacle can quickly and efficiently provide cleaning care for your limestone, marble, travertine, slate, granite or terrazzo surfaces.

Cleaning Process

1. Pre-Inspection – We will determine a customized care plan to meet your specific needs for your specific floor.

2. Preparation – We will take the necessary precautions to protect all areas surrounding your floors.

3. Cleaning – When cleaning any stone floor, we use the most scientifically advanced cleaning products and the floor is then machine or hand scrubbed and brushed. Then, a hot water extraction system is used, achieving maximum soil removal for best overall cleaning results.

4. Honing – Stone is mechanically resurfaced using diamond abrasives and water to achieve a uniformly honed surface sheen. Filler within travertine stone that looks cloudy, splotchy or dirty becomes uniform with our finishing techniques. If desired, polished marble, granite, travertine or limestone can be mechanically honed to remove pre-existing surface polish.

5. Polishing – Stone is mechanically finished to produce a high gloss shine. Very light etches, scuffs and scratches may be removed with the polishing process, but diamond grinding is needed if the stone surface has medium deep etches, scuffs and scratches.
